Gavin Hazelwood, 6, became a worldwide sensation when the Duchess of Sussex accepted his handcrafted pasta necklace during her royal visit to Melbourne, the Herald Sun reports.
Much like everything else Meghan wears, the necklace has become hot property and Gavin is busy filling orders across Australia, the UK and the US.
Gavin says he plans to make “hundreds” of necklaces, and donate the money to stillborn birth research in memory of his little sister, Clara.
“Clara died and we want to figure out how to stop babies dying,” he told the Herald Sun.
His mum Rowan said: “I am very proud of him. He’s always had questions about stillbirths so I am glad he has an opportunity to do something.”
The Middle Park Primary School student and aspiring pilot spends every spare minute carefully crafting his necklaces so they are identical to Meghan’s.
