Nestlé Lemon Docello Protein Enriched Dessert Mix

Lemon Docello Protein enriched dessert mix is a versatile ingredient to use to make tasty desserts and snacks.

The secret is making the Docello dessert mix thicker to provide wonderful recipe variations and from these examples you can see how it is to use to fill and ice cakes, pies and mini pies.

 

Lemon Docello Sponge

Serve 10

Approximate cooking time 1 hour

Ingredients:

4 eggs

100g caster sugar

100g plain flour

Lemon zest

Cream (for decoration)

White and dark chocolate (Nestle)

Fresh strawberries

240 g of Lemon Docello mix (Nestle)

750 ml water (this makes the lemon Docello thicker)

Instructions:

  1. Preheat oven 180⁰C and grease two round cake tins.
  2. Pre-condition eggs to room temperature.
  3. Whisk eggs and sugar together until ribbon stage.
  4. Sift in flour, add in lemon zest and mix by hand until just combined.
  5. Equally portion the sponge mix across the two cake tins.
  6. Cook in oven for 20 minutes.
  7. Make lemon Docello Dessert Mix (by mixing up Lemon Docello Protein Enrich Dessert Mix plus water- water helps thicken) and spread in between cakes.
  8. Spread lemon Docello over the cake top and sides and decorate with cream and chocolate.
